Tempered glass is produced by heating flat glass to approximately 650°C and rapidly cooling it with cold air jets, creating compressive stress on outer surfaces and tensile stress in the interior. This process makes it ideal for high-wind areas and locations where human safety is critical, as the surface compression absorbs impact forces.
