Stoneware dinnerware set fired at high temperature (approximately 1,200°C) to achieve vitrification and create a glass-like, liquid-impermeable surface. This traditional ceramic tableware originated in China around 1400 BC and features the characteristic red to dark brown coloring that was later copied by European manufacturers.
