Newoxy 20% LA is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic activity against many gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, rickettsiae, leptospirae, mycoplasmas, chlamydia, actinomyces, and some protozoa. Its bacteriostatic effect is based on the inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.
